The President, Board of Directors and the negotiating committee are proud of the tough stance we took with Management to secure for our hard working Maintenance Dept. the following items.
1. We received a 1.5 % pay increase and we did not loose jobs in this difficult environment.
2. The 4 day 10 hour summer schedule is still being negotiated, it will be revisited Jan 09
3. The contract has been extended 1 year, this means all of the gains we have won over the last couple of years like the extra days off during the winter break are intact.
4. Annual leave can be scheduled with a 2 day notice, in the past a 3 day notice was required.
